Active Travel Sefton

We were asked by the Active Travel Sefton Team to redesign their quarterly Walking & Cycling Newsletter. The newsletter is a programme of group led walks and rides throughout Sefton and provides the reader with daily seasonal walks and rides plus news and events information. The walks and rides are free to join, open to people of all ages and abilities.

As there is a lot of information to pack in, it was important that we worked out a way to make it as easy-to-follow as possible, whilst still looking fresh and interesting each time. Colour coding and standardising page layout out has given the interior uniformity without compromising the style. By making the cover a standalone piece of advertising in itself the newsletter now has a strong, easily recognisable brand look. And along with the team’s determination and dedication, the redesign has helped put feet on pathways and bottoms on saddles!

The Active Travel Sefton Team aren’t afraid to experiment so we have created some varied promotional material to advertise the newsletter, walks and rides in the form of advertising, postcards, leaflets, posters and social media graphics. By using a mix of styles, some illustrative, some photographic – we can gauge what works best for them to bring in new walkers and cyclists, whilst building on the brand style.
